We built finvuw for professional underwriters. That means we take the privacy of your financial data seriously — and we want you to understand exactly what we collect, how we use it, and what we don't do.
The short version: Your uploaded files and classified output belong to you and are visible only to you. No other user can access your data. We aggregate anonymized financial figures — stripped of all identifying information — across the platform to power benchmarking features that benefit all users. We don't sell your data, and we never will.
finvuw ("finvuw," "we," "us," or "our") is a financial data processing platform designed for third-party senior living underwriters, including analysts at banks, private equity firms, brokerage houses, and due diligence firms. The platform is operated at finvuw.io and app.finvuw.io.

We collect two categories of information:
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide (such as your name or organization). This information is used solely to authenticate you, communicate with you about your account, and deliver the service.
Uploaded Financial Data. When you upload an operating statement or T12, we receive the file content you provide. This may include financial figures, account names, and any operator-level detail present in the source file. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate authorization to upload any file you submit.
Usage Data. We collect standard technical information when you use the platform — including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken (e.g., file uploads, downloads, and job runs). This data is used for security, debugging, and product improvement. We use PostHog for product analytics and Plausible for marketing analytics; both are configured to minimize personal data collection.
To deliver the service. Your uploaded files are processed through our classification pipeline and converted into standardized output. Raw uploaded files are deleted immediately after processing. Output files are retained until you delete them and are accessible only to you.
To provide your job history and analysis. Processed financial summaries — subcategory-level dollar figures by month — are stored in association with your account so you can view your P&L history, run portfolio comparisons, and access prior results. This data is visible only to you and is not shared with other users.
To power platform benchmarking. We aggregate anonymized financial figures across all completed jobs on the platform to produce the Platform Benchmark feature. Before any data enters this aggregate, all identifying information is removed — including operator name, facility name, location, region, MSA, and any other attribute that could identify a specific property or user. Only stripped dollar amounts by subcategory and time period are used. The benchmarking dataset cannot be reverse-engineered to identify any individual user, property, or operator.
To communicate with you. We send transactional emails related to your account (job completion notifications, billing receipts, and password resets). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
To improve the product. Aggregate, anonymized usage patterns help us understand how the platform is used and where to focus development. No individual-level financial data is used for this purpose.
Your data is isolated by design. Every job, result, and financial summary stored on the platform is scoped to your user account. No other user — including other customers, administrators acting outside of their support role, or automated processes — can access your individual job data or output files.
Access to your data by finvuw personnel is limited to what is necessary to investigate a reported technical issue or comply with a legal obligation, and is logged.
We rely on a small set of trusted third-party providers to operate finvuw. Each receives only the data necessary to perform their function and is contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
The application uses session cookies required for authentication. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Plausible Analytics, used on our marketing site, does not set cookies and does not collect personal data.
We take reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls scoped to individual user accounts, and automated deletion of raw files immediately after processing. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@finvuw.io.
You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@finvuw.io. We will respond within 30 days.
finvuw is a professional tool intended for use by adults in a business context. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of finvuw after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
